What is going on in Romania?

From KETZERBRIEFE No 249

RU I Bild 1

Bucharest on 12 January 2025: Tens of thousands of Romanians protest against the annulment of the presidential elections and demand an immediate repetition of the run-off between the two winners of the first round of votes (“Turul 2”), with slogans such as “Make Romania a Democracy Again” and “Turul doi, înapoi”.

1. Banning of the candidature of MEP Diana Șoșoacă for the 2024 presidential elections:

On 5 October 2024, the Romanian Constitutional Court, in a mockery of the constitution of its country, denied the Romanian MEP and chairwoman of the oppositional party Partidul S.O.S. România, the lawyer Diana Șoșoacă, the right to stand for the presidential election on 24 November 2024 because of her political views. In summary, this court proclaimed: An opponent of NATO and the EU such as Șoșoacă must on no account be allowed to become state president; her candidature alone would threaten the irrevocable “integration of Romania into the Euro-Atlantic structures”. This “integration”, i.e. the subjugation of the country to the rule of the “four hundred families” of the USA (analogous to the approximately 400 Roman senators of, say, Numidia or a Greek pseudo-state that the empire had subsumed to its “sphere of influence”), supersedes the constitution of the country that has been absorbed, and that’s all there is to it!! Incidentally, the “integration of Romania into the Euro-Atlantic structures” alone “guarantees” its existence as a state – did Romania not exist before?! – and commits its president to respecting and protecting membership of the EU and NATO. For this reason, only those candidates who would guarantee to fulfil this duty beyond any doubt would be allowed to stand in the presidential elections. (1)

This denial of the right to vote as guaranteed in the constitution means the abolition of the right to vote. If the people are not permitted to vote for whomever they want to, then they are not permitted to vote at all. (2) Only formal rules about the candidature are permitted (e.g. regarding punctual submission). In Romania, these are: the candidate must be a Romanian citizen, there must be a petition supporting the candidate signed by at least 200,000 people who are eligible to vote (that is more than 1% of those entitled to vote – that’s a fair number for an individual applicant or a new, small opposition party), must not have been a member of the former security police, “Securitate”, must be at least 35 years of age, must be of sound mind and must not have received a legal sentence to imprisonment during which the right to stand has been removed for a certain period that is still ongoing on the day of the election. That is limiting enough but that really is everything.

Since Șoșoacă fulfils all the legal requirements, the responsible electoral office (3) accordingly registered her as a candidate on 3 October 2024. Two denunciators, who had probably been kept in reserve, promptly appeared, including Bellantoni, who had been excluded from Șoșoacă’s party for betrayal (4) – a person of the same moral format as a Sheela or a Hartwig – who in the interests of their trans-Atlantic masters submitted inflammatory documents to the Constitutional Court demanding that Șoșoacă be excluded from the presidential elections on account of her opposition to NATO and the EU (“RoExit”).

Instead of at best saving this bumf for the court toilets for the next time toilet paper is rationed, the NATO lackeys in their judges’ robes took up this cue-giving appeal most eagerly and in a first step, analogously to the absolute monarchs of the Baroque era, who also liked to remove people’s rights they had had wrested from them again, removed the authority to decide any alteration to the constitution, which is clearly guaranteed in the constitution, from the people (5), by independently decreeing a completely new precondition, launched with the status of a constitutional norm, for the eligibility requirements for presidential elections: there must be no doubt that from all previous political statements and appearances made by a candidate, said candidate must never have violated their civic duties to “respect the constitution” and “defend constitutional democracy” and must also guarantee to fulfil these in the future. (6) In a second step, the Bucharest oracle priests decreed that memberships of the EU and NATO are an irrevocable basis of the existence of the state and its irrevocable nature, strangely, is guaranteed by the constitution (which does not say a single word about it; but this is what happens when holy scriptures are handed over to the arbitrary will of priests). Here is a taste of the oracle priests’ pulpy verbiage:

"Euro-Atlantic integration and the fact that Romania is part of the great European family (…) are a milestone in the constitutional history of the state that is an irrevocable decision of a constitutional nature. It is indisputable that acceptance of the 1991 constitution means the rejection of totalitarian, authoritarian or anarchic regimes, which means that democratic levers cannot be used to distort, deform or question the constitutional order thus created or Romania’s European way. Membership of the EU and of NATO is the political and military guarantee respectively for the democratic development of the state and the guarantee of the rule of law.”

Now praise the trans-Atlantic lords! (The only likeable thing about the early Christians was their refusal of the emperor cult; the Romanian lackeys do not wear this asset under their robes.) Because there is no such thing in the constitution. Both membership of the EU and of NATO (Art. 148, 149) are only mentioned as contractual relationships, in such a way that they can also be terminated by a sovereign state, especially as the defence of sovereignty as a political goal is mentioned several times in the constitution. (7) With this trick, the Constitutional Court is putting itself above the constitution, or rather, the sovereignty of the people, and is putting its country obediently under the lead roof of US imperialism. Romania’s predecessor states reacted more stubbornly against even the Ottoman imperialism of old, sometimes bravely, sometimes less so, but never as menially as this.

Another gloomy prospect presents itself in the form of the reaction of the EU, which gave its blessing to the mockery of the Romanian constitution by means of its eloquent silence and refused Șoșoacă’s right to speak, which she is entitled to as an MEP, at the following EU Parliament sitting on 7 October 2024: only at 11 pm and consequently in front of largely empty rows of seats was Șoșoacă given the word and her microphone turned off after the one minute of speaking time. She was also excluded from the following seven sittings under the pretext of her having “disrespected the dignity of the parliament” on 18 July 2024. In truth, her microphone was switched off on the one hand when Șoșoacă demanded that politnik von der Leyen be prosecuted because of her scandalous actions during the Covid dictatorship and of warmongering against Russia, and then she was violently thrown out of the parliamentary chamber by half a dozen lackeys. Who disrespected whom, or what, here?!?

A pugnacious oppositional like Șoșoacă, who was able to prevent Zelensky, the Western Bloc’s war hero, from appearing in the Romanian Parliament in October 2023 and who is gaining increasing sympathy and support amongst the people, especially younger people, with her defence of Romania’s sovereignty and independence (RoExit and leaving NATO) must have been a thorn in the side of the American embassy in Bucharest and its EU toadies for a long time. After all, Romania, where the US is currently expanding its airbase near Constanza with its secret torture centre to be its biggest ‒ even bigger than Ramstein – military base on European soil and where its nuclear rockets, pointing at Russia, are stationed near Deveselu, is its most important front-line state alongside Poland. And the main part of the military reinforcements are rolling to the Ukrainian front day and night, while the wheat is coming from the Ukrainian fields in the other direction for sales purposes, said fields now being owned by the American mono-capitalists Soros, Rockefeller, Gates etc..

2. The Constitutional Court is intervening in the ongoing presidential election and has annulled the previous result

After the arbitrary exclusion of Șoșoacă from the presidential election, the Romanians, who in light of their impoverishment and deprivation of rights certainly do not want to be drawn into the war against Russia too, shifted their attention to Călin Georgescu, who had been ignored by the “quality media” and therefore been largely unknown until now, with his demand for an immediate stop to the military and financial support for Ukraine. They now campaigned so successfully for his election, mainly via TikTok and personal exchanges, that Georgescu achieved first place in the first round of voting on 24 November 2024 with 22.94% of the vote.

The Constitutional Court declared this first round to be valid on 2 December 2024 and gave a green light for the run-off between the two best-placed candidates, including Georgescu, on 8 December 2024. Georgescu received additional support for this run-off: George Simion, chairman of the “Alliance for the Unification of the Romanians” (AUR), who achieved 13.86% of the vote in the first round with his demand for an end of the support for Ukraine and peace with Russia and the restoration of Romania’s sovereignty and therefore missed out on the run-off, cleverly called for support for Georgescu in the second round of voting immediately, because he was committed to the cause.

The Bucharest and Brussels politniks registered in shock that 36.8% of Romanian voters, i.e. the votes for Georgescu and Simion, had slipped away from their control and battering, which shows that faith in the press is clearly crumbling. Since they were now afraid that this trend could continue at the parliamentary elections scheduled for 1 December 2024 and that Georgescu could be victorious in the run-off on 8 December 2024, they sent said quality media out into the field to drum up support for an annulment of the election, under the slogan: “Interference of foreign powers”. Now Soros & co., i.e. “foreign powers”, buying one paper after another to influence elections and more, is nothing new. But strangely enough, it is not these gentlemen that are meant here. The state president called the Supreme Defence Council immediately. But because the US ambassador Kathleen Kavalec initially called off her dogs that had been imprudently let loose, since an annulment shortly before the parliamentary elections would have seriously increased support for the parties supporting Georgescu, the Supreme Defence Council merely expressed its “great concern” (sob!) and the Constitutional Court adjourned until the day after the parliamentary elections. The unison media used this period of time and relentlessly outbid each other in slinging bucket after bucket of mud at Georgescu and mendaciously claiming that his electoral success was the result of a campaign controlled by Russia and China that steamrollered the clueless Romanians (“Russians paid influencer”).

When despite this smear campaign there were once again about 32% of the Romanians who voted for the three oppositional parties (AUR, S.O.S. and POT) in the parliamentary elections on 1 December 2024 with a big increase in turnout (52.5% as opposed to 31.9% in 2020) (8) (and 55.7% of the more than 770,000 who voted abroad voted for these three parties; in Germany and Italy it was more than 67% and 68% respectively), the wave of support for Georgescu in the few days before the run-off continued to increase. So by the day on which the foreign polling stations opened two days before those in Romania itself at the latest, there was not the slightest doubt, either amongst the people or their enemies, that Georgescu would be voted president. Washington also saw things this way, which is why on 5 December 2024, US Secretary of State threateningly warned of a breach in the American-Romanian relations that had been so amicable up to that point, i.e. he told his Bucharest vassals to take action. The Constitutional Court got in line and threw the board off the table in the middle of the game: the run-off had already been in process abroad for three hours on 6 December and many voters had already submitted their vote when the Constitutional Court halted the election and reversed its irreversible decision made on 2 December, with which it had declared the first round of votes valid, and declared the entire presidential elections invalid. This cynical coup means that Romania has broken ranks with the democratic states (formally democratic at least) in the same way as the German Reich did in 1932 with Papen’s coup against the government of its most important federal state (which Goebbels immediately ‒ and correctly ‒ noticed and which ‒ for him ‒ rightly delighted him).

Only the immediate repetition of the suppressed election and the legally prescribed punishment of the traitors responsible for its prevention could repair this damage. An EU that believed even a single word of its unctuous self-praise would have to either enforce this or exclude Romania. But we know them, don’t we?

Postscript

“We did it in Romania and if necessary we will also have to do it in Germany” - open words with which the until recently incumbent French EU Commissioner Thierry Breton, in regard to Elon Musk’s support of the AfD in an interview with French news channel RMC (BMFTV) on 9 January 2025, threatened to have the German general elections cancelled by the EU Commission (!) if the results were “undesirable” (Berliner Zeitung, 11 January 2025). So Romania is just the test run for the disregarding of unpopular election results in the vassal states of the Soros-Rockefeller gang! German Federal President Steinmeier’s speech on the occasion of the Bundestag on 27 December 2024 speaks volumes; he “warned” about foreign interference in the Bundestag elections in February 2025 as a “threat to democracy”, be it covert, as was clearly the case with the elections in Romania (sic!), or open and flagrant, as is currently taking place intensively on the platform X”. Oh yes, and Tusk’s Polish government is suddenly claiming to have uncovered a “Russian conspiracy” set up to influence the Polish elections this May.

(3) The Central Electoral Office (BEC – Biroul Electoral Central) comprises five judges of the Court of Cassation, the President and Vice-President of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP / Autoritatea Electorală Permanentă) and a maximum of 10 representatives of parties and political associations (Paragraph 370/2004 Art. 16.1). The five judges of the Court of Cassation elect the President and Vice-President of the Central Electoral Office from among their number.
(4) Bellantoni, who was placed twelfth on the list of Șoșoacă’s Partidul S.O.S. România for the European elections in June 2024, was excluded from the party shortly after that for being disloyal. Since then she has been smearing Șoșoacă, flanked by the unison media, and has denounced her by means of the most absurd accusations to nearly all the state prosecution authorities.
(5) In accordance with Art. 151 of the Romanian constitution, constitutional amendments must be presented to the people in a referendum.
(6) One can hear the echo of a German constitutional breach, the Hitler breach, which West German state saint Brandt repeated almost word for word from Hitler’s “Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service”. And so now it also rings out to the Carpathians and the Black Sea. No wonder: most of the Romanian Constitutional Court is composed of judges appointed by Romanian social democrats.

(8) In the elections to the two-chamber parliament (House of Representatives and Senate) the three parties “Alianța pentru Unirea Românilor” (AUR – Party for the Unification of Romanians), Diana Șoșoacă’s “Partidul S.O.S. România” (S.O.S. –S.O.S. Party of Romania) and the “Partidul Oamenilor Tineri” (POT – Party of Young People) received a total of 31.83% (House of Representatives: AUR 18.01%, S.O.S. 7.36%, POT 6.46%) and 32.45 % (Senate: AUR 18.3%, S.O.S. 7.76%, POT 6.39%) among them. – At the same time, the proportion of votes for the Social Democratic Party PSD, which had already collapsed from approx. 45% to approx. 29% during the Covid dictatorship in 2020, fell another 8% to approx. 22%; abroad, the vote share was only 5.5%.
